The Biltmore Estate, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Maggie Valley, Ghost town in the Sky, Santa's Land, Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Tennessee are all within a 1 to 2 hour drive. Rivendore cabin is located close to Spring Creek, Meadow Fork and Max Patch Pond and is a great base for a week of fishing. Alternatively, experience the excitement of whitewater rapids on the French Broad River in a guided raft or inflatable kayak. Rivendore Cabin's location three miles from Max Patch Mountain on the Appalachian Trail and easy access to the Pisgah National Forest make it an ideal base for hiking. Winding roads with spectacular views make this perfect motorcycle country. Mother nature puts on an amazing color show each Fall at Rivendore Cabin. Fall colors start at the end of September and continue till early November. Crisp mountain air and sunny winter skies make Rivendore in winter a special place.
